A thing that I found very interesting last week are the robot dogs funerals in Japan.
AIBO is the artificial intelligence robot. The first AIBO was released by Japanese electronics maker Sony in 1999. It became a hit in a really short time, but in 2006 they stopped production of robot dogs and owners had time to bring their AIBOs for repair until 2014. When dogs went out of order there was nothing they could do to fix their pets. It caused a really weird and peculiar custom of giving funerals to robotic dogs. In 2019 there were held a massive funeral at the Buddhist temple, the ceremony was performed just like the normal funeral of the people. For me it is really disturbing that many people prefer to have an artificial animal instead of a real one. Also it can have an impact on humans interpersonal relationships because people will have a better bond with them than with other humans.

Very interesting.
